meet kristin vaag

My name is Kristin, and I have a background in marketing and communications management, with several years of experience in business development and project management in the private sector.

A sewing machine given to me as a gift nearly eight years ago was set to become the turning point in my career. This new hobby brought with it a newfound awareness of the appalling state of the clothing industry and a passionate commitment to more sustainable clothing consumption.

As a self-employed professional, I wear many hats, but I am happiest when I can inspire greener wardrobes through creativity, handicrafts, and reuse. I design sewing patterns and make-it-yourself guides, have written a sewing book, hold workshops, courses, and lectures, and spend a lot of time sharing information and inspiration on social media.

My interest in clothing and fashion started early, and I have always loved spending hours in vintage shops hunting for the best bargains. Having a sustainable wardrobe by no means means compromising on style; quite the opposite. I champion homemade clothing, unique vintage treasures, timeless quality garments, and personal style that brings out the best in everyone.
